Please stop being an MLM Amateur!

For all of you MLMers out there (myself happily included)
Please take your business serious!!! Stop promoting a website like blahblah.mymlmcompany.com - THAT SCREAMS AMATEUR!!!
Get a domain that you own and build your brand. This way (although I know we are all brainwashed into thinking we are in the #1 company, #1 team, selling the #1 product/service) if you decide to move onto something else you have created an asset for you AND NOT THE COMPANY!!!
I know from being in this industry for the last 15-years that chances are you (and I) will create success with a totally different company then we are with now. This go-around might be getting you ready to really knock it out of the park with your next business.
I hate to think where I would be now if I would have stayed with my last MLM company - yuck!
Be open-minded too.
I think it is funny that we call ourselves “entrepreneurs” but once we sign up (or sell out) and join an MLM then we act like that company owns us. We refuse to be “open minded” and look at anything else. Folks, that is NOT being an entrepreneur. That is being a glorified employee with a double S.O.B. (boss spelled backwards) controlling us!
Stop being a PIMPLE ON THE @SS of POVERTY and building someone elses dream. Stop “faking it until you make it” and lying to your prospect telling them how good you are doing. Just because you qualified at some lame pin level months ago does not give you the right to sucker people into your business with false promises.
If you cannot pay your mortgage, car payment or even put gas in that gas guzzler then maybe it is time for you to move onto Plan-B because guess what superstar - Plan-A is not working for you. It is only lining the pockets of your greedy ungrateful upline!
The reason I can say this to you is because even though I don’t know you I have walked in your shoes and I truly care to see you succeed - AND NOT BECAUSE YOU ARE IN MY DOWNLINE! Your upline would never tell you this stuff. They will tell you to put your nose down and get busy. Why? Because they do not care about you at all! If you quit your business they will forget your name within weeks - AND YOU KNOW IT!
Start being a true entrepreneur and create your own success! Become the kind of upline that you ‘wish’ you had! What would that “dream upline” do to create success? Find out and duplicate it!

The Carnegie Institute reports that even if your chosen profession is as technical as engineering, only 15% of your financial success is due to ones technical knowledge, and the other 85% is due to skill in human nature - to personality and the ability to lead people.
It’s really a book about being the best person you can be so that people will feel comfortable in your presence. In a nutshell, it’s what to say to people in any situation and what to avoid saying to make the most out of life. Carnegie uses hundreds of real life examples and stories that are fun to read. He takes you back to actual events and news stories from the 1920’s all the way up till modern day that draw the reader in and offer insightful nuggets of advice.
Here is 12 ways to win people to your way of thinking:
- The only way to get the best of an argument is to avoid it.
- Show respect for the other person’s opinion. Never say, “You’re wrong.”
- If you are wrong, admit it quickly and emphatically.
- Begin in a friendly way.
- Get the other person saying “yes, yes” immediately.
- Let the other person do a great deal of the talking.
- Let the other person feel that the idea is his or hers.
- Try honestly to see things from the other person’s point of view.
- Be sympathetic with the other person’s ideas and desires.

MLM Sucks

You know what sucks (can I say that here - lol) about network marketing? You have to be NICE to people!
You know who you are. You want to wear that favorite grungy t-shirt on the weekend, you don’t want to smile while standing in line at the bank or feel compelled to strike up a conversation with someone at the grocery store.
Well the #1 thing I love about MLM and Network Marketing is it forces you to be a better person.
It does not matter if you are like me and enjoy building your downline online. You still have to get out into the real world and you never know who you are going to run into (maybe your next team leader).
Before heading our to take care of daily duties you might put a better looking shirt on, you might smile while standing in line because you never know who you are going to bump into.
Here is a list from the Golden Book on how to become a friendlier person:
- Don’t criticize, condemn or complain.
- Give honest, sincere appreciation.
- Arouse in the other person an eager want.
- Become genuinely interested in other people.
- Smile (try this when you are driving in rush hour traffic, people will think you are nuts and will look away - funny).
- Remember that a person’s name is to that person the sweetest and most
important sound in any language. - Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves.
- Talk in terms of the other person’s interests.
- Make the other person feel important - and do it sincerely.

OK, let me start by saying this can be a lot of fun! Imagine being at your favorite watering hole (mine is Starbucks in American Fork, Utah - stop by and I will buy you a drink).
Before you go in and order your favorite beverage drop a ‘$20 Drop Card’ out in front by the front door. Now sit back and watch as someone who almost walks over it will actually go out of their way to pick up the $20 dropcard. As they pick it up and open the bill BAMM they are hit with your marketing message:

How about his one. Go to your favorite bookstore and go to the business section and place a dropcard in every motivational and success book or magazine you can find.
Did a guru like Robert Kiyosaki endorse your company? He has endorsed quite a few companies; ACN, Pre-Paid Legal, Usana and Xango to name a few.
How about capitalizing on this?
Write something like:
Robert Kiyosaki Endorses #1
Work-From-Home Company.

Go and stuff these in all of the Robert Kiyosaki books. When people go home after purchasing these books they will see your dropcard and you might get some business from it.
Now please keep in mind that you might need to check with the bookstores manager to do this. I’m just giving you some ideas. So with them what you want.
